Fanatec Unveils New Wheel Rim as part of its ClubSport lineup, introducing a 318 mm GT3-style rim designed for use with its modular hub ecosystem. The new ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 is available now and targets sim racers seeking a sportscar-inspired steering experience.

    The core development

The ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 measures 318 mm in diameter, aligning with real-world GT3 steering wheel sizing. It is sold as a rim-only component and must be paired with a compatible Fanatec hub and button modules to function as a complete steering wheel.

According to the product details published in coverage of the launch, the rim is constructed from CNC-machined aluminium and features overmolded rubber grips. A reinforced bracket is included to improve stability when mounting button clusters. The total weight is listed at approximately 700 g including the bracket.

Compatibility includes the ClubSport Universal Hub V1 and V2, Xbox variants of the Universal Hub, the Podium Hub with button clusters, and the Podium Button Module Rally.

How the new wheel rim fits into Fanatec’s ecosystem

Fanatec’s modular ecosystem allows users to combine rims, hubs and button modules depending on their platform and driving style. The ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 continues that approach by offering a larger GT-style diameter aimed at sportscar simulation rather than formula-style racing.

Unlike fully assembled wheels in the ClubSport or Podium ranges, this release focuses purely on the rim hardware. Users must already own, or purchase separately, a compatible hub system.

The inclusion of printable sticker sheets also allows for cosmetic customization, enabling drivers to tailor labeling to specific simulators or vehicle classes.

    Pricing and availability

The ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 is listed at €99.95 and $99.95 at launch. Availability was confirmed at the time of announcement, with the rim positioned as a lower-cost entry within the broader ClubSport ecosystem.

No bundled hub option was announced alongside the rim. Pricing for compatible hubs remains separate.

What this means for sim racers

This release expands the GT-oriented options within Fanatec’s hardware lineup. The 318 mm diameter places it closer to real GT3 steering dimensions than smaller formula-style rims.

For sim racers already invested in Fanatec hubs, the new rim offers an alternative form factor without requiring a full wheel replacement. For new buyers, total system cost will depend on the selected hub and button configuration.
